I'm on the lookout for a device that allows me to import MIDI sequences created in Ableton and perform live concerts by triggering these sequences without the need for a computer. Since I'll be working with lengthy sequences (approximately 7-minute songs with minimal repetition), a traditional step sequencer might not be the ideal solution.
I'm curious if an MPC studio is the right fit for my needs. Can it effectively store and play extended MIDI sequences during live performances without relying on a computer?

iPad ???
Quite a lot of midi playback stuff on there, plus lots of audio/midi interfaces work very well with it.
Big, bright, responsive screen, fast loading times, almost zero chance of crashing.

I've used one live with Cubasis as I hate laptops and it was great.
Worth a look.
