Unsure if this is correct to post here- but I recently got the MPC Studio & hooked it up to Logic Pro, and the MPC plugin itself works and I can use it correctly, but logic attempts to use the pad straight up as a controller and so whenever I hit a pad (or other buttons) it plays certain samples that are loaded onto the MPC Studio. This becomes an issue because in my current prediciment, pad 1 plays pad 1 and pad 2... due to Logic using the pads as a controller.
I am unsure why this is happening, because I am only hitting one pad- yet it plays two, and I know for sure its just logic because it doesn't say both are actually playing in the MPC software, as in if I record pad 1 (a kick) and play it back, it is just the kick. but when I click Pad 1 I hear both the kick on pad 1 and a snare on pad 2, and the LED lights flash as if it was pressed.
Now this isn't just for Pads 1 & 2, where it could be a hardware issue. but Logic also makes use of other buttons as sample pads- for example the Pad Bank buttons to the left of the pads play sounds for some reason when clicked. I really do not know how to fix this.
Is there a way to make logic not use the MPC Studio as a controller (like the MPK would do) and just have it route to the MPC plugin?
