Just purchased MkII. Worked awesome for the first few days. All of a sudden, the timing 2is so bad now that I don't even use it anymore... Waste of $200. What I propose is, we need a printout of ALL DEFAULT preference settings, printable, so that we can troubleshoot our own preference settings to see where and what settings got accidently changed or switched that led to our mpc's become expensive paperweights. I don't understand half the verbage In those settings much less be able to tell u what the default settings are. A copy of our specific default settings list would allow us to cross check and correct any basic settings errors ourselves. And save us the nightmare of uninstall/reinstall all over again in hopes of getting back up and running.

Or does something like this already exist?

In the MPC Software you can reset preferences by deleting the preference file itself, the software will auto create a new one using default settings.

No idea about location on Windows these days, but on a Mac, the MPC3 location is User Library > Application support > Akai > MPC3 > MPC 3.settings

Close the MPC Software, rename the file to something like MPC 3.settings.old and relaunch the software.

If you are on MPC2, the location of the settings file is User Library > Application support > MPC > MPC.settings
