Hi fellows,

I just noticed a problem with my Akai MPD 26 yesterday after everything was working fine. I plugged it in through the usb port I always use for it and the screen starts showing the regular info as it always does (preset name etc.) and only the right row of buttons is responding ('full level', 'program change', 'A,B,C & D' etc.). I can see them turning on on the screen but the screen remains dark as it usually lights up blue. Additionally, it is not recognized by any of the DAWs I have (ProTools & Ableton Live) and it isn't working in any of the usb ports I have. I've tried using other well functioning cables of the same type but still no response. Do any of you have any knowledge about why this might occur and if I should be worried?

Thanks a lot in advance for the feedback.

so you have a problem with the mpd beeing recognized by any of your daws and the mpd itself responding to button presses on its own screen. it should have an os of its own. did you try to update that and the driver on your pc?
