MPK Knob Start Value?

Hey All. Long time stalker of the forums (mainly the MPC/JJOS section), first time poster.

I just received an MPK25, which I want to use to expand the functionality of my MPC 1000 via midi. My question is not device specific though.

Is there any way to set the starting value of the MPK knobs (when operating in control change)? I can set the range (ex. 0-127), but there is no option for what value the knob starts at when you first turn. It just starts at the first number defined for the range of values.

(P.S. If someone has direct experience using an MPK with the MPC 1000 JJ OS 2XL, I'd love to pick your brain.)

Note: I found a hack to only kinda do this. You can set the range to decrease (so instead of 0-127, do 127-0) and then the knob starts at 127. This kinda works with my specific case, which is setting track volume, but its only marginally helpful.
