I've found a few posts around the Internet regarding this issue, but none with an answer that helped me.
I've created a preset for my MPD18 using the MPD18 Editor that I downloaded from Akai. However, when I follow the steps in their Quick Start Guide, it's still not uploading the preset to my physical unit. No matter what, it's still just keeping the same old presets as when I bought it.
I've loaded the preset, selected the preset I wish to overwrite in the Edit Preset dropdown, and finally clicked Commit - Upload. But still nothing.
Is there an extra step I need to take here? Anything I need to know to make this work?
I've tried doing this before opening my DAW (Reason 8.3). I've tried rebooting the computer prior to trying to commit. I've tried setting the unit to a couple different MIDI channels prior to hitting Commit (but honestly, gave up after a couple, so maybe there's a specific MIDI channel it needs to be on?).
Please, if anyone knows what I need to do, I'd love to hear it. I've put in a ticket with Akai support, and if they're able to help me, I'll post the solution here as well.
