Nice one fella. Incidentally did you use the Corx pads on the backs? I used them but was wondering if they're necessary as the pads are uber responsive but feel just a tad hard over extended pad mashing sessions.

As was already stated here and in other threads. If you have an MPD, Fat Pad it or sell it. There's no in between unless doing everything at full level and redoing your velocities with a mouse is something you want to do a few hundred times a session.

I put the corx on mine with my MPD32, I agree you can tell it makes the fit stiffer, but the usual absorbing of finger grease into the pads took care of that pretty quickly.

And Akai are utter morons for putting this design flaw in 5 separate MPD's (over a five year period no less) and at least 3 different keyboards.

Excited to see how well this turns out. Just got an mpd32 and the pads were unbearable.

thank you for sharing.

Just installed the big fat red pads from MPCStuff and I am kicking myself. Why the hell didn't someone tell me to do this a year ago. Really, if anyone out there has an MPD32 and are a bit disappointed with the pads, get this (relatively cheap) upgrade with the corx backing.. do it now.
