i have live and stylus rmx and use them together but i do not dj.
there are a few videos on the specstrasonic web site that are very interesting. i thought it was ideal for live and dj sets. i could be wrong because i am only right once in a blue moon according to you.

I seen the videos on Youtube with djs on Backlit Louge which is cool. But as I observed from the demo video of Stylus I can do all the same things on the same page in LIVE.
I would guess the only advantage of having both is the library that comes with stylus 7GB would be nice. But if I`m not mistaken I can buy the refill and use them in LIVe as is. I already use the Garageband Refills without using it as a plugin just use the directory all volume.
I`m not trying to get in a pissing match with you with the little snitch remark about being right or not. The thing is that I`m not into redundance or overgearing either.
Funny thing is I think Stylus was designed for Pro Tool system in mind as it didn`t have a loop plugin. But the guy is demoing on Logic which has its own loop brower which is just as good???????
Anyway the MPD24 which is what the thread is about is cool wouldn`t you agree?
it is not about a pissing match my friend, it is about educating myself and you have just taught me a different view of things/workflow. personally, i am glad i asked because i learnt something.
i like stylus rmx not for the loops but the sound library. there are a h*ll of allot of drums sounds you could tweak in there. i do not chop or anything but basically find a drum sound and tweak it(eq, compress, reverb, delay, etc) until it fit the song/mix. i use battery 3 and stylus rmx for drums/perc. battery is great when you want the drums to hit hard and stylus for a more suble hit (controlled).
yes, the mpd24 is great but there is one feature no one is talking about, which is that you can program the sensitivity of the pads to your liking.
