Hey.
Im pretty new to using midi and ive checked all my resources for any helpful info with my problem with no success.

I want to hook my MPK 25 keyboard up to my MPC1k. i also have my usb going from my MPK to my pc which is controlling my DAW. All im wanting to really gain is midi sync , I think the problem is on the mpk's side . ive read all the manuals and im just coming up empty handed. i realise the usb and midi can cause an issue but as far as im aware that prob has been taken care of.
so ive got a midi out from my mpk going into midi in on my mpc.

any advice would be appreciated, cheers

You cant synchronise an MPK with an MPC, or anything else for that matter, because the MPK has no sequencer. The MPK is simply a midi keyboard controller used to enter midi data into sequencers and synths.

You can synchronise the MPC with yout DAW using midi clock or midi timecode if there is a need to do so.

Sounds like your MPK midi connections are ok with the USB going to your computer and the midi out going to your MPC's midi input port. You may not be able to use both streams of midi output (USB and midi out port) at the same time, there may be a selector switch on the MPK.

Details of how to sync your MPC can be found here...
