Just scored a used mpd32 - good mods?

Just scored a used mpd32. Great condition. Looks new. Works well.

Pads seem pretty good but I know some people go for mods any upgrades.

What are the must haves?

I've said on these boards a couple of times now but I'll say again.
Definitely go for the MPCStuff Fat pads (I got the Red ones) with the corx backing.

It's like a completely different machine. You will get great sensitivity and nuance in your beats.

I used the corx backing on mine and the pads feel just a tad hard especially after extended sessions.. so if you don't mind opening it a couple of times you could try it without and with to see which you prefer.

I initially did the sticky black duct tape on the backs for about a year which really helped but the feel and playability of the fat pads are just so much better.

Thanks! Those pads look good and I think I'll pull the trigger on some and anything that adds to expression has to be worth it. Have to decide whether to do with the red or the blue... why have grey?

Really loving this thing with Geist. Really starting to feel very MPC-like now - but on steroids.

get blue! or black, they might not have black fat pads though...

They have the Fat Black Pads @ MPCstuff. Just got some for my MDP3...looks great!

oh yeah, and i have now confirmed that my pads are in fact mpcstuff regular black pads, and they are soft and nice feeling too.

But, maybe it was just me....lol. I made my own makeshift ones to fill the need... there is a youtube vid out there somewhere that you can watch on it

Fat Red pads suit the mpd32 well.. but I'm biased

Red definitely looks good on the MPD32!
