Just a quick question. Im kind of new to beat making so i was wondering. On ableton, how can i program it so that when I hit a pad on the MPD26, i dont have to hold down the pad to finish the sound that is being played.
Thanks.

If you're using drum rack in Ableton, set the release time of each sample to something longer than said sample (I usually just turn it all the way up). This knob is in the volume tab of the drum rack. You can also set the attack, decay, and sustain in this window. I would definitely suggest messing around with all the options in drum rack if you plan on using an MPD with Ableton.

Not sure how to do this if you're using sampler or another device, but it's probably equally simple. Have fun, live and the MPD series have always been an incredibly dope combination in my experience.
