i have my mpd hooked up to control fl studio. usually i am working from the Live preset on the mpd and it works fine with the FPC in FL. But i am trying to tap into the mpd features and use the FL studio preset with it because you can record right from the mpd (which you can't do from the Live preset). The problem is.... when I go to "map notes for entire bank" on the FPC some of the pads trigger the pads from the other bank. I want each pad from each bank to trigger one single pad. I don't know how to do this in the FL preset. From the Live preset its as easy "map notes for entire bank" and tapping every pad.

nevermind... i guess i figured it out.
i knew that i had to change the numbers assigned to each pad on the mpd but the key information that i was missing was that the first pad starts on 36 and the last pad ends on 67. lol they give you this thing and its like "hey... these pads trigger some random numbers. we're not going to tell you anything about what these numbers are or any kind of chart. and we're dam sure not gonna give it to you ready to go. but, here ya go!" there is no info on this really... nothing in the users manual. akai kinda gives you this thing and expects you to figure it out yourself. its slowly starting to come together and make sense, but no thanks to akai. i can't imagine the frustration of learning an mpc.

....and scratch that. the rec/play/stop buttons on the mpd also control fl from the generic presets.
