Support and chat about Akai's range of MIDI controllers, including the MPD. MPK and LPD

i primarily use the mpc studio to make beats on, within the mpc software. i purchased a korg micro x to run with my mpc studio. i intend to use the korg for its own internal sounds.

the problem is i am not getting any sound from the korg micro x itself. i have all midi ports connected, and i am seeing the "microX Keyboard" option in my own midi settings.

the settings checked here, and in the pics below, have all been altered with no success. what i mean is that, i've had midi out port A: set to microX keyboard and have still been unable to produce sound. so please tell me what i should be checking/not checking, as this is definitely part of the problem.

when i attempt to produce audio, the volume bar displays a blue light up, and the pads correspond with my korg's notes, but no sound is produced. again, this is further evidence for me that my connection is fine.

i can post more screenshots and provide as much information as possibly needed. i have accessed the korg's own settings and cannot find the issue. i am set to midi channel 1 on both my korg and mpc software.

i believe my error is the result of my settings being off somewhere. i am not exactly sure if i should have my PROG CH set to anything or not. i'm also uncertain about the mpc software's Preferences + Sync settings i.e.; the midi clock and MMC Send/Receive options.

clarification here would be great, as well as any other suggestions as to what my problem is. thank you.
