JJOSXL on MPC2500

I've wanted this for years and probably requested it long ago:

I record audio tracks a lot of the time with reverb and FX on them so I need the loop to have already played in order for my reverb and FX to be already be present and in affect on the first event of the first bar. In other words, recording from being STOPPED is no good to me. My remedy to this has been to double my sequence length and then record my audio track. But then I have to go and manually cut the first half of the recording off and halve back my sequence length.

So, being able to have the Audio Track start recording after a loop of the sequence would be good. Very good.

I realise this may be the same as allowing Audio Track Overdub which has been a long-requested and denied feature.

Thought I'd try again with the request though, from a different angle, because it is one of those major issues which frustrates me nearly every day. This is the one good point about AkaiOS and Direct Record. I've never gotten over this issue with JJOS. It has irked me constantly.

You might try extending your sequence by a small amount (a bar?) and record that. Keep the tail on the sample, but now go back to your original sequence length and trigger the sample from a program, in poly mode. After it loops you will hear the tail and the start of the dry sample. This also sounds better in many cases during the initial play, as the loop doesnt start with reverb tails from stuff which has not yet played.
