This worked in XL. It actually works in record mode to but not in play. Wtf.
So thinking its a bug. I better explain I guess.
Ok so if I make a pattern that consists of pc message and then assign that pattern to a pad it won't affect unless recording unlike in XL.
I think it's cos maybe its changed around a bit to.
At first I was a bit annoyed that cos program's save pad assigns then it messed things up a bit but there is a work around.
So make pc numbers for program's (not midi at all) in MPC and then make pc to pattern and assign to a new program. This is work around as its not universal like xl.
So anyways in play mode it ignores pc from pattern to pad but when I'm recording it does. Hmmmm I think bug.
This allows me to change up program's from a bank and even change up multiple tracks from one track or bank.
