5/4 break anyone?

You might have better luck chopping something up and restructuring it based on 5/4.
I can't think of any 5/4 breaks but here's a couple 5/4 tunes you can make a loop from:

- Gustav Holst - Mars (from the Planets Suite)
- Gescom - Five

AHA joker ^^

i already got a 5/4 sample man, trying to get drums on it. shit is literally a nightmare. i tried again over the weekend with no luck at 5/4. got something down at 4/4 by chopping out a bar from the melody but still doing my head in.

this beats going to be HEAT if i ever get it flipped.

Oh, are you just saying that it's confusing to work in? It can be.

On Friday I saw a local math-rock band that did all their songs in non-4/4 time signatures. I noticed they emphasized the first beat on every song. That might be worth a shot. I could see this sounding corny if you do it the wrong way but it makes it a lot easier to work in, as well as dance to!
