he might be working on the 2500 os now.

Is there a way to extract MIDI data from a sample when slicing, and save as a sequence and kit. Then you can replace the sound on the pad to recreate the original feel of the loop with your own drums? Kind of like Replacer???

yep. os2 is so mighty right now.
and jj has to make biz with the 2500 community as well.

maaan. sidechaining compression with this crappy mpc comp...
makes no sense to me.

if you want daw features go get a laptop.

the mpc is still a mpc. 8)

- controling mutes/unmutes with an external drumpad could be very nice when you are sitting behind your drumset and playing live together with the mpc

Now I use my left hand/fingers still holding the drumsticks and playing with right hand:?

OS2:

Is it possible to send effects and filters directly to the INPUT THRU signal? If not, it should be -- I'm gonna go check it right now. I seem to think this isn't a feature though

please put back the second filter and the track velocity % from the old os....

maybe allowing change of lfo sync rate from q-link or somewhere in realtime....would be wicked too!

this has probably been requested before but oh well. I would like to get a "strength" feature added to the timing correction. This way when you quanitize you can choose the strenght 0% to 100%, 0 being no timing correction at all and 100% being right on the grid. It'll help tighten things up a little without killing whole feel of the groove, sometimes i just need a little correction and don't like having to replay the whole thing again, manually shifting notes, or quanitizing the hell out of it. Maybe there could also be a "just swing" option so that you can keep all other notes just as you played them live and only those that get the swing, get swung. I think I said that right :?

AGREED. i listed that a couple pages ago, i would adore quantize strength

so useful

*PAD MUTE SCREEN*

Accessed by pressing SHIFT + Track Mute

------

the pad mute screen would be almost identical to the track mute screen, only the on-screen grid would correspond to the pads rather than tracks

this would be useful for a live-performance situation and would allow you to mute individual pads of a program

let's say you want to drop out your highhats but you've already sequenced all your drums on the same track?

enter pad mute screen and simply mute the pads with the highhat samples on them

yeah dvs thats a good idea, ive thought along those lines myself. i was thinking it'd cool to have a key shortcut from the main screen like shift+pad= mute on/off or in play mode, erase + pad=mute on/off.

if it was erase and mute you could visualize it from the track mixer page, where a muted pad would be o on the mixer. might be complicated returning it back it to the original value though if that value was less than the maximum.

Great idea...
Well decent idea...
Consider when you have a sample up on "Trim" & it loops on 1 hit of a pad.
What if it is a long sample you are looping up to discard some extra sh*t?
When you are adjusting the end point how about a pad play a few moments before it loops?
This way you can loop it quick w/o having to play the long sample all the way through to check out where it actually loops?

Hit pad 14 & that is what I mean, but if you turn loop on let it cycle, so you can hear the actual loop points connect.
