When editing in trim mode, sometimes after zooming right in on a sample and then zooming out again the start point on screen differs to the start point that is heard- when I zoom in again the start point moves to the correct spot.

Anyone had the same issue? Im yet to figure out exactly how to recreate the bug as it only happens sometimes, will report it when ive confirmed

Why screen appears next sequence?
this has happened before, and being able to record has been casual.

os 2xl ver. 1.40

when i record audio on mpc and i audition it in the trim field, the audio is 2 tones pitch down.If then i record the same audio in an audio track, the pitch is right and if i listen to it in the trim field it is right, but if i change the audio track with a drum track for example, all the audio in the trim field is again pitch down, any suggestion?

on the original Akai OS, when you use the SLIDER, whichever one you touch it selects it

now I have to manually sellect Q-link 1-2-3 or 4

It doesn't happen with AKAI OS.

Update: It doesn't happen with other keyboards, later I analysed incoming MIDI data and found out that this synth sends "All Notes Off (controller 123) message everytime I release a note. This is a vintage Roland JX-8p, 1985 made and it has some strange MIDI implementation.

MPC just does what the message says: stops all sounding notes, therefore this issue shouldn't be considered an MPC OS bug,
but I'd be glad if "All Notes Off" controller could be filtered in MPC settings.

This is happening with my Juno 106 as well. Really kills any live groove.

Any chance we could petition JJ to slap a MIDI filter on? I think there are at least three people that have reported issues with their old analog synths.

there are settings for incoming midi filtering - mode pad9 i think

Yeah you can filter somewhat as far as which midi INs you want to receive on and which OUTs they go out of. I leave this set as AS TRACK. The idea is that I'd like to record midi from my old analog synth through an IN(1/2) and then have it played back per track per midi channel from an OUT (A/B) which connects to the synth and triggers the notes I had recorded.

The problem is that some old synths send CC#123 which turns off all notes. This shuts off even DRUM events because the pads are assigned note #s. I guess this effects ALL tracks not just the one I'm recording to when I'm releasing keys on the synth (each key sends NOTE ON message but also note shut off CC#123 when released). So I guess this means CCs are active global when played but can be assigned to play back on one track out one midi channel. It's in the live sequencing where the issues arises. I'm playing along to a sequenced drum track but cutting the drums off whenever I release keys.

I hope this has made things less confusing!

MPC2500, JJ OS1 5.56

1. Record new sample
2. Go to New name screen by turning Data wheel
3. Leave name blank
4. Exit New name screen by pressing Main button
5. Go to Trim screen (Pad6)
6. Select the unnamed sample
7. Choose Edit, Delete, Do it
8. Screen reads: "Processing......." and MPC stops responding (2 times out of 3) OR screen goes blank almost right away (1 time out of three).

A have a few bugs that I have come accross since updating to OSXL 1.42 from 1.34. (2500)
But the only one I can think of presently cause it just happened is:

After loading up a folder of loose string samples(just a set of samples in a folder, no program or anything)
and proceeding to Program mode to assign the samples to pads scrolling thru the samples whether I use + or - or the data wheel would actually play the entire sample(s). As you can imagine scrolling thru several 10 second samples one after another, and they ALL play at once.. very annoying..

I was curious and loading a drum kit with just a few sounds in it, and attempted to duplicate the bug, and it was gone.

More to come soon.

JJ is the man!!!

jjos v 3.10 / 2500

not sure if this is a bug or not but its defo anoying

in program mode to get into gpe press mode + pad 11

once in gpe press which ever of the tab buttons is underneath whole, on the screen.
f6 i think

this will bring up this (A01) - (D16) default whole range, this is where you choose the range that will be affected by whole.

press either of the f- buttons that are underneath (A01) or (D16)sorry havent got mpc infront of me at the moment. think its prob f4 and f5 anyway press and hold one of them and "accidentally" touch one of the pads ( tried it with all of them) the mpc freezes up nothing you can do but switch off.

if anyone knows how to un-freeze it from this state id love to know how

cheers

wow

I just updated to the 1.43XL for my 2500 last night.

After working for about two hours, i was randomly navigating on the main screen (i think pressing the + and up buttons) when the MP kinda froze for a second and then just rebooted itself.

very frustrating because i lost some work, but, also scary because i don't want to be thinking about this all the time or save my workin the middle of a session.

Has this happened to anyone?
