XL 3.20 (MPC2500)
In the main screen, there's "Bars:2".
If you select the field, normally with numeric values you can press numbers on the numpad, then enter to commit, and the field updates to that value.
In the bars field, when you press a number it changes to "___", as it would when it's in the numeric input mode. You can see this by testing it on the tempo field. In tempo, you press a number, and it has that underline "___" but it also says the number you're inputting.
But in the bars field, no numbers appear, and when you press enter it remains as it was. You must first press the + or - for DATA, then the "Change Bars" window appears, and you can input numbers in there, then commit and DO IT.
When you press numbers on the numpad, it should not just show a "___", it should do something like either just enter the number, and when you press enter it changes to that number, automatically truncating any excess bars. Or, pop up the "Change Bars" window if required, but seamlessly inputting numbers without extra steps.
