In trim mode, if you select a portion of a sample, and want to cut and paste it to a new one, you must first extract, confirm, go back to original sample, delete, confirm, then select overwrite.

It's a lot of steps.

EXTRACT could have an option or button next to DO IT to say, "When you extract this portion to a new sample, don't leave the original intact, remove it and overwrite that sample".

Or there could be a new EDIT function for that.

Right now EXTRACT is basically COPY+PASTE. There needs to also be a CUT+PASTE.

Discard does a cut/paste, over itself.
Extract does a copy/paste, to a new file.
Nothing does a cut/paste, to a new file.

You have a sample of voice saying "a b c". You set start/end around "b". You want 2 samples now, 1 that says "a c", 1 that says "b".

If you extract, you have "a b c", and "b".
If you discard you have "b".
If you delete you have "a c"

You have to extract, then go to first sample, delete, then overwrite.
