Hello. I'm using s3000 very often and what I like about it the most is the option of variable resample rate. I dont know how does it work in MPC 2500 if you can get just half of the rate but in s3000 it is pretty simple(as i think):
sampler detunes in certain amout your sample, save it and than tunes it again and overwrite. Its easy to predict how much detune is needed to acheive certain samplerate e.g. to have your sample in 32khz sampler detunes it -5.55semi.cent
to have 26040 detune equals -9.12 semi.cent.
Resampling gives muuuch gritness and more sound designing options.
What is more i think it is just simple mathematics to implement and should not be hard.
What do you think? Is it possible? Is it useable for you?
EDIT: SORRY guys, my bad. S3000 works like that : it saves the sample faster and detunes it. That way memory is being saved.
