yeh agreed good move. But I am not loving it like i want to. Maybe its how close it sits next to top Qlink. that is not the only reason i am not into it though. I would have to get another case, and it adds weight and makes it less portable to me to. But its good, im not rubbishing it. just maybe i am not feeling it :(

Well I think it's not really adapted to the 1K. If I could afford one I would put it on my 2K5.

Anyone did a side by side comparison by the way?
How many grams for the screen? Shouldn't be so loud no?
Would be interesting to know the proportion of 1K/2K5 users for the XL screen.

Got a 2nd-hand blue screen for my 1k and I'm loving it! The fact that it's tilted and the extra real estate make a big difference. Wouldn't want to go back to the small screen.

But it's true that it's not as portable as it used to be.

The portability of the unit could be improved with a modification to the connector cable to the main board. I would definitely recommend removing the screen if you go portable and reattach when you get to your destination.

The other option, now that os3 is around, is to use two mpcs, one with the big screen and one standard. I haven't used os3 at all yet but I am assuming that the projects are compatible.

Well that is funny, as I am thinking that another MPC would be the way to go and get a big screen with that one and use the other one when giggin, traveling.
I am loving OS3 for a few reasons, but some improvements mentioned around here would mean its the best hardware sequencer / sampler ever made. So kinda waiting around for these small improvements. Well I live in hope anyways.
I like that idea of it being more modular and be able to be removed added very quickly but am not holding my breath, and not enough for me to do my 1k.
all good
