Since the text that tells you if you have new private messages is at the bottom of the forum index page it takes some time to realize that you have a new message..

What I was thinking is that in some of the forums I go to there is a pop up window that let's you know when you get a PM, could it be possible to get such a luxury in here?

IT's supposed to pop up, and did for a few months, then I messed about with something and it stopped. Basically, phpbb (who make the forum software) are coming out with a new version soon (don't know what soon means though) so I'll upgrade everything then and hopefully the search will work better as well as apparently they've completely re-written that part of the software.
