e book = membership

Make buying the e book mandatory to become a member, this way the questions will tend to be more "I've tried such and such but I think I'm doing something wrong" as opposed to "what are the pads for?"

The way things are now it's kind of a "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free" deal.

No no, that's a horrible idea!

Imagine if people with real knowledge (like for example mpc3000) wanted to join the forum to share info, and to do so they would be forced to buy a book they don't need, do you think they'd join?

A nice thought, but I don't think it would work. Then again it would help keep bullsh*t members from registering but would it really be worth it?

Maybe a limited period special price offer on the book would inject sales , grow the popularity on the book and sporn a totally new vibe round here.

I bet if tutor said the ebook is half price for one day only, things would change!

Or...........There would have to be some sort of incentive for members from non members...VIP access to expert areas (Free from "what is MIDI" )...I dunno
