Forums bugging out last couple of weeks for other members?

Ever since shortly after Christmas the forums haven’t been working properly for me. I have to use the View New Posts feature after logging in. When I login it shows 0 members online. When I visit sub forums I normally follow/read it’s showing my previously read threads as not being read. Anyone else having the same issues? I normally view the forums on my iPhone 6 running latest iOS it can take (12.5.1).

I’m also reading them using Safari in Private mode. Although that never gave me problems before.

Been noticing this... especially if I use different browsers... I wonder if there is some kind of cookie or other weird related issue?

That’s what I was thinking, but I’ve used Private mode on my phone for years. It wasn’t a problem until recently. And there’s obviously at least 1 person logged on (me), plus usually a couple of search bots, even if I’m up late at 3 or 4 am EST.

Try clearing your history and delete cookies. This did the trick for me.

Sorry for the 2 week old reply. Haven't been on the forums in about a month (life's been very busy lately). I'm OCD so I always clear history after every session. I also normally read it on my iPhone 6 in Safari in Private Mode, so cookies are never kept. Today I'm currently reading it in Firefox on a PC (set to Private Mode), and it still is showing zero members logged it. Which I seriously doubt, because even if it's 2 a.m. when I'm reading the forums there used to be 2-3 other people or search bots logged on besides me. It seems to at least be tracking unread messages and clearing them after I read them the last couple of weeks when I've been on for short periods of time.

I turned off members online tracking, it reduces server load, so it's will always show zero online. I'll remove that from the template when I get the chance
