OK so let me preface this with how I create tracks. i am sample based and use Akai kits and sounds as accents. With that being said I always chop a sample and that is ALWAYS track 1, from there I add drums etc etc... I upgraded to 3.0 SP1 and had an issue where no matter what beat I loaded the sample that should be on track 1 was always replaced with 1 specific sample from 1 specific beat. The sequence was fine, the way the sample was chopped was fine but the actual audio sample was only from 1 specific beat that I did almost 2 years ago! So I downgraded and waited for SP2....same exact thing no changes! NOW JUST YUEATERDAY I UPGRADED TO SP3 and it no longer loaded that 1 particular sample, now it loads absolutely no sample or audio at all. So any beat I load has all of the sequences and other tracks but track 1 where the main sample should be does not load at all! CAN ANYONE HELP????

Yeah I had the same issue when updating to the latest firmware.

When you open your old projects in the new firmware the MPC has to "import" it. Possibly because the new firmware stores projects differently. When you try to save them and select "project" to save it will rename your old file by adding "_import" to its name. But then when you go to open it, the samples are not found!!

Luckily I solved it tho. If you're trying to keep your samples you have to load your original old project and then when you go to save, select "save as" and choose whatever name you want. Now it will save all your project AND all your samples in the project. Weird but it works.

It's not weird, it's smart. Meaning you're not overwriting your old project, a new folder will be created with that imported project. Some people are just saving and not paying attention.
