mpc3000 mains transformer swap?

does anyone know if it is possible to take a 120v US model mpc3000 and swap in a different mains tranformer so that it will work with australian 240v? Or would you need a whole new power supply board?

Anyway, Rohan if you do this kind of work in melbourne i would be very interested to hear your thoughts.

I just had a 120V 3k swapped to a 240V power supply by Bruce Forat in CA. Not sure of the details though, sorry.

charged US$165 for service/parts . Worth it not to have to use big step down transformer all the time.

yeah i'm definately trying to avoid having to lug a big old step down transformer around. Hopefully i can figure out how to solder in a new transformer myself instead of paying for it... It'll probably make ore sense once i can crack open an actual 3000 and have a look. I'm just researching in case i buy one (i think i will!)
