600 sovs isnt a bad price for a v3 MPC60 mkII with scsi over here. Try and knock off 50 and you've got a good deal I reckon. A decent MPC3000 usually goes for a couple of hundred more. Old MPCs are getting to be really sought after over here - I know, took me months to source the 60 I was after!.
I don't think its just cult status, they are seriously well built machines that beg to be played and their reputation sells them. I don't come from the same area as most of you guys, I bought mine for tv and ad work and it has already paid for itself a dozen times over.
