Okay, so I figured out how to do the check using this post:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12032&p=75802&hilit=ram+amount+check#p75802

Now, my free space says 10108K. So, I'm guessing that means that a 2MB memory board is installed with 2 4MB SIMM chips, right?

Let me know what you guys think.

Peace.

Glad to see some one using the search tool to retrieve a worthy answer.

:-)

The amount and type of RAM installed within your MPC3000, based on what you have worked out; seems correct.

1 x EXM/DMC 3002 MEMORY BOARD @ 2 MEGABYTES.
2 x 30 PIN SIMM @ 4 MEGABYTES each.

Total == 10 MEGABYTES.

A physical check would be the final confirmation.

Although, based on the figures you have shown; the configuration seems correct.

Note: Vailixi OS users simply check the boot screen while loading.

Thanks for the info, Rohan.

Question, though. I don't remember where I saw it, but I SWEAR I saw a chart illustrating the amount of sampling time available for every combination of memory options in the 3k. I've checked the manual back and forth, but I haven't been able to find anything in there. Am I tripping, or have you seen this also?

Thanks again.

I wrote the chart ages ago and posted it in an old thread at:http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/MPC3000

It's not in the manual.

It's over in the thread archive at
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/MPC300

...and,

Thanks to Mike Goins ( forum user: mpc3000 ) it is also hosted here:

Thanks, as always, Rohan. I tried the yahoo link you provided and it stated that the group doesn't exist. A quick group search and I was able to locate the group at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MPC3000

Also, Mike's chart doesn't provide the sampling time. Does the one that you created within the archive of the 3000 group contain this information? If so, I'm there.

Let me know.

Peace.
