External Internal SCSI on MPC 3000

Is anyone familiar with the internal SCSI (zip drive) mod that allows to still have your external SCSI in the back? I think Forat does it? how can I..

Internal SCSI mods are probably the MOST widely discussed topic in the 60/3000 forum. Try searching. There is a good breakdown at www.mpc3000.com too.

If you understand installing an internal SCSI device, it's only a matter of having a SCSI cable that goes to the internal drive, then to the external one. Very much like the drive cabling in a PC. JD over at scsi4samplers.com usually has the necessary cables available.

Cool..thanks. I'm familiar with it. I check a few posts. Checked the MPC3000 site. I want the SCSI in the back of the MPC 3000 to stay as is..and have internal too. I was wondering if i can do this mod myself.

Saying, If you've figured out how to get the internal rolling, all you need is a ribbon cable that plugs into the internal drive, then out the back of the 3K so you hook up an external. It works the same way you'd chain external drives. The internal drive is really the external port turned inwards with an adapter.

I have an internal card reader with two slots (and seperate SCSI ID #s), and Vailixi allows you to copy a SCSI drive to another SCSI drive. So even though I have external SCSI available too, I never use it.

I am stoked to have back-up copies of all my beats now, though I've never had a CF card corrupt.
