Hooking a 250 Iomega Parallel zip up to the MPC using a parallel to serial convertor? Has anyone tried this before? I know that the MPC only takes the serial Iomega Zip drives. This is for my MPC 60 II/3000.

Thanks in advance for any info regarding this.

Not sure if you want to try this. Although you are using a converter i've heard stories about parallel and the 3K

Use a SCSI ZIP 250 if you must use a zip drive.

Don't mess around with converters that will waste your time and possibly damage your MPC3000 SCSI port circuitry ...

Thanks for the response I got from you two. I was going to attempt this with my MPC 60 II because when I boot it says looking for SCSI but more than likely if it will damage the 3000 I am sure it will damage the 60 II as well. Them joints are just mad expensive right now they want like a $100.00 and up. But glo on the advice.
