midi out question

Hi there, I have a vintage sampler that I have midi'd up via mpc 3000
for some reason when i hit the keys it plays the whole sample when midi'd via mpc, when i connect the keys strait into the vintage sampler it is note off but the MPC makes it play like a internnal sample on poly, ie plays whole sample and hit it a few times and you get three samples playing thru to the end = chaos

can anyone shed some light what i need to do so that i can make the external sampler behave like a note off instrument

It would help if you tell us what "vintage sampler" your using.
maybe somebody here uses the same set up.

most def recheck the settings in the sampler.
