Help with loading sounds...

i bought some floppy disks and formatted them inside my mpc3000le. well then i used my floppy usb drive to add some drum sounds onto them from my computer. their .wav drum kicks and snares, etc well when i go to load them into my mpc it says "this type of file cannot be loaded. Please select another file" i tried a ton of them and it wont read any. Why is that??? i used to load them on my 2000xl the same way and it worked fine. What am i doing wrong?

If they start life as *.wav files and are converted into native MPC3000 format *.snd type before writing to floppy then all will work

MPC3000 machines do not support loading of *.wav files.

Files need converting from *.wav to *.snd ( MPC3000 type ) on the computer side before transferring to a floppy disk.

The MPC2000XL supports *.wav file loading.
The MPC3000 does not support *.wav files for loading.

You will need conversion software.
