Formatting the Floppy

Anyone have issues with the drive in your 3000 not recognizing a 1.44mb disk? At times, my drive will format the 1.44's as a 793k disk. (no need to suggest a zip or cf reader... I love floppies)

I'm wondering if this has something to do with my crappy OS (3.03) ... which I'll be updating soon. In the process of deciding whether or not to go 3.5 valixi or at least 3.11.
If I have to replace the drive... 3.11 might be the call due to budget.

Any help or feedback would be appreciated.

Floppy disk drive needs servicing.

In particular the "disk present" sensor.

Thanks Rohan... translates to me replacing it... no idea where to get that done, based on where I'm located. : /
