FYe, im using the ins of the 3000 to sample from the outs of the 9000. now if i midi so i trigger from the 3000 will it work much the same way. like i want to eq using the vp realtime and sequence like normal - like i assigned it from the internal program. midi is hard for me. is it capable.

Are you talking about a s900? If yes you should be able to trigger it from the 3k, i dont have a 3k or a s900 but I assume it goes a little like this 3k out > s900 in and then you will have to set midichannels. Read the manual for more info on that since I dont know where you do that in those machines.
