Automatic drum pattern

When I press REC-->PLAY/START on my MPC 60mkII and I tab in a hihat pattern the machine places them in the exact same order so that the time between them is all the same, even when I tab them a little bit off beat...

Now thats normal, but I was wondering if you could turn that feature off ?
So that when I hit for example a snare, it stays on the place wherever I hit it and won't change location done by the machine.


maybe a stupid question but I don't know how to.. and I ain't got a manual.
