need some help.... i am a newbie... at least for the 3k

need some quick help.... i got today my 3k.. and it is BIG... compared to my other ones (2000xl and 2k5).
but i have a problem... i cannot play sounds by hitting a pad....
what i already managed is that i sampled a loop... and i already chopped the start an end points...
and on the mainscreen, i already made this loop working by playing to bars...
so. i already assigned the loop sample to a pad (A01).
my problem is when i am hitting the a01 pad no sound appears...
but when i am recording i hit the pad (i hear no sound) but when i play.. i hear a sound...

i am not shure if it should be like this.... because i already figured out, that pad a03 is not working....

i just somehow reset the configuration of the mpc... now it´s working... puh iam glad... dunno what the previous owner did...
but pad a03 still not working.... SHIT!

If all the other pads are working other than pad 3 it sounds like there could be a problen with the sensor.
Make sure you check the MIXER settings (look it up) and ensure that pad a03 is set to be as loud as the others. Although if you've reset the config, it should be the same.
Now, change the bank, so you activate B03 and C03 and D03. Does using them work ?
If not (and I suspect it wont) you may have to open up your mpc 3000 or take it to somewhere where it can be repaired. There are posts around here which will help you with that - although to be honest, its best to play safe and send it in to a repair centre if you're not 100% sure.
