What should I do?
I changed the backlight foil on my MPC 60.... tripled, quadruple and many times checked and rechecked solder and plug connections.
What happened? Well, I changed it. Upon first start up, it was very bright. HOWEVER, now not all pixels displayed. About 1/4 of the screen pixels went blank, while the other pixels showed as normal. The ones that went blank were an entire horizontal section, about 1/4 of the screen, from left to right. The 1/4 section below the midpoint, and above the lowest 1/4 of the screen.
So I tried restarting many times...still didn't work. Opened her up again, checked for bad broken solder joints and copper lines around the power supply and backlight transistor...tried starting her up again...but now even worse... she doesn't even turn on or boot up. The screen doesn't light up nor even display any pixels at all. I think it doesn't even start up right, because the drive doesn't boot up and none of the red LEDs on the panel buttons work now...
..bleh... I was excited to play with my new DP2 fx... now I gotta worry about this ordeal..
...anyone know what could possibly be the problem?
Should I just take it to forat since Im in SoCal? ...I hope it's not gonna be expensive.

I just talked to forat, and possibly the problem was I disassembled it too far. The foil I guess slides right out, upon/after opening the plastic casing. I on the other hand, went too far and took off the metal frame, where there are a bunch of metal tabs bent to keep said frame in place. I didn't need to take it off, as the foil already could've been slid out without removing that metal frame. AND, the frame supposedly has to be just right, the very small distance b/n the glass, PCB and foil, in order for it to display all pixels perfectly and also might conduct things that aren't supposed to be conducted or might've shorted something. ...I guess I will leave it up to him to fix it.i I aint gonna mess with it anymore and accidentally break anymore things. Hope it aint gonna be expensive to fix.
