Buying an MPC 3000 from US to Switzerland, need advice on vo

Sometime this year I want to buy an MPC 3000 (prolly around april) and I have a couple of questions:
1.) There are voltage differences between Switzerland and the US, what kind of voltage converters do I need and how do I set them up? Don't wanna set the appartement on fire
2.) What should I watch out for when buying one from ebay? Especially in terms of shipping from the US to Switzerland. Anybody from Europe know if it's safe?

not sure if that machine has the voltage switch on the back?

you would need a step up converter.. make sure it's wattage is higher than the mpc 3000's wattage (I suggest getting one double the power if possible.. but at least equal to or higher if there is no converter switch on the back)

also, try and get that sorted before the machine arrives.. the shipping will take a while so time is the essence for you to get the thing up and running... you would want to rule out any potential issues with the machine ASAP and preferable before the 30 day mark.

Buying one from the US and having it shipped to you could be quite expensive, you gotta think about customs as well, which will probably add more to the price.

If the seller won't ship outside of the US, there's a possibility to set up a shipping address in the US via some companies that offer this service i think. I know a friend of mine (also from switzerland) has an address like that.

If you can't find one in switzerland, i'd first check out if you can't find one from germany either. They don't like shipping to switzerland either, but there's companies in germany as well which offer a shipping address for you in germany (close to the border), they will keep your item in storage for a small fee per day and you can drive there yourself and go pick it up.

First i would find out how heavy the package will be, then see if you can find out what the sending costs from the US would be (and what about insurance in case the package gets damaged? i'd look into that as well). I imagine it will be a lot.

just wait any buy one from europe? the euro is crashing lol....no import duty and no electricity concerns....

if you wanna avoid import duty from the us, ask seller to declare as a gift, say worth 100$, but then the item wont be insured for much

I looked at shipping costs for international, about 150 bucks or something. Of course I am always looking for one from europe but it's so rare, that's why I am pretty sure I will get one from the US and I want to be prepared.

Step up? IDK how any of this voltage shit works, so excuse my ignorance but switzerland has a voltage of 220, would be that step down?

there shouldn´t be a problem to find a transformer for power.
who dont buy from switzerland/europe? i see mpc3000s for sale once or twice a year here in norway. a bit oftener in sweeden. the price goes from 800 (if youre lucky) to 1500 EUR.

Switzerland is a small country. I've waited three years before i've found an MPC60 for sale over here. The first one that popped up in these three years was the one i bought. I've never seen a 3000 for sale in that time, not a single one. I can understand why he's looking outside of our country.
