I seem to have a problem loading my saved programs along with some snd's that I have on my zip100 disk. I recently purchased a beat up mpc 3000le (which i still love btw) and am using it with my iomega zip100 but whenever I try to save certain sounds or load them up, the screen reads damaged disk and says I should use a different disk or transfer my data to another disk if I can recall correctly. Is this because I'm sampling off of a mpc 3500 for sounds or maybe because the zip disk is just done? I tried to reduce the record level and sample the same sound again thinking that it may be because of clipping reasons but that didnt work also. Its funny because I can load up and save other sounds but certain sounds will not work. I tried loo@king this up before I came here but this seems to be my last resort. If this problem was already covered here then I apologize, but if it hasn't, then let me in! Thanks guys. Btw the sounds I'm saving/loading are just drum sounds and not baselines or melodies if that helps.

I'm having exactly the same problem, only drum sounds won't load and are the damaged .SND's. I recently bought some different zip disks and the problem still happens, so I don't think it's a disk problem. How much sample time did you use for each hit, I've been recording them in @ 1.1 sec for each hit, I'm going to try and record them in for maybe 2-3 seconds see if that makes a difference. I'll let you know

My sampling time is around .6 to .7 seconds because I'm sampling drum hits but yeah let me know what happens. Hopefully some of the mpcforum heavyweights can help us soon:)

I'm assuming that my mpc 3000 is not too friendly with the scsi drive:) But I really would like to find and/or receive a technical explanation as to why this is happening. Any other suggestions?
