MPC60, Turn Off Lose Everything Questions? thanks

I reading the manual because I would like to buy my first MPC and planning on a 60II. So when you turn it on, you always have to reload all your samples and your sequences, tracks and songs as well? I'm trying to understand any problems with workflow. Any help would be appreciated. I am looking at one with the 3.10 OS Thanks for your patience...

Thanks for the replies. I knew the sounds would need to be reloaded but I wasn't sure about the midi data. I found the RS-16 software for Mac. That seems like a great way to save your pgm and snd. Any experience with that?

Also, about how long does it take to import a floppy disk of sounds?

You're kinda over thinking the whole thing, it's not like the 60 can hold a gig of sounds.
Even when using floppy instead of SCSI it doesn't really take long to load things.'
What you have to understand is based on the 60's file structure, available memory and program management you aren't going to be dealing with a major amount of data at any given time.
It kinda forces you to learn to more decisive in your sound choices.

You can also make the 60 with v3 load files on startup if you like.
