MPC60(3.10)+S3000 or MPC3000+S950

I need some advice.
I know S950 have more samplin time then MPC60 and time strech.
but do I need that for Drum Kits? or MPC60 just enough for it?

S950 and S3000 which one sound good for samplin other kits like vocal , string....and other without drum kits.

Is MPC3000 worth? I see the different just the 16 samplin bit and add some effect between the MPC60.

Is S3000 and MPC60 have Time Strech?

You might want to get a 4000. Its all you need in-a-box.
Then add a 60 and a tracker and you're ready to rock!

if i were to choose over again id get a mpc3000 and an s950...

right now i got the 60 and the 950... i dont have anything for 16bit sampling... but if you are just using it to sequence(the mpc) then it should be the same thing really, if you get the 60 w/3.1 OS in it anyways...

i dont know much about the s3000, but ive been looking into the s6000, i may get one sooner or later if i find a good deal...

if you had a 4000, why would you need a 60? id think that a 4000 and a rackmount would be better...

actually, my question runs along the same lines as Alyi's. I've recently sold my 2000xl's and began to use my MPC3000. The S2000 doesn't work with the 3000 and I'm debating whether I should purchase the S950 or the S3000? What do yall think? Educated replies are appreciated...

S2000 doesn't work with the MPC3000 In what way

I have an S3200XL and an S3000 which both work with the MPC3000 fine from a sound loading and midi sequencing point of view.

In a previous answer to your question about loading S2000 sounds I wrote the following:

"The MPC3000 will mount SCSI drives and floppy disks created by S1000/S3000/S01 type samplers.

The S2000 uses the same disk format and file system layout that it's older, bigger and tiny brothers work with.

NOTE: S5000/S6000/Z4/Z8 are NOT part of this family where the file and disk system compatibility is concerned.

Compatible S series Programs are not loaded.

The individual samples from a compatible S series program CAN be loaded though.

Once loaded the individual samples can be assigned to a PAD within the MPC3000.

Download the MPC3000 manual from www.akaipro.com and familiarise yourself with the process. "

I understand now...programs from the S2 cannot be loaded/read by the MPC3, but samples can be assigned to individual pads...
