I got another problem: my LCD light has JUST GONE OFF BY ITSELF. F***. It seems it burned or whatever. I've observed that there are some power impulses from time to time in the place I'm just living (I'm away from home for 2 months). Even the bulb lights seems to fade in and fade out from time to time. I'm so f***** pissed off.

Please, can You give me some tips about fixing the screen? I was lookin for new screen or parts on ebay, but I've found nothing. Is it expansive and can it be done without a technical support?

Edit: I've just found REPLACEMENT BACKLIGHT KIT on ebay. Does anyone uses it and does it really work?

Yes and yes.

Surprisingly, the backlight started to work again by it's own. Just tried it again after two days and it's ok. I think my mp is haunted or some other ish.

Have anyone had an issue like this? I mean: I'm not sure if it's not going to break down in the nearest time. Other thing is: don't really want to buy backlight kit without need.

I have my equipment in a basement. Does humidity have much to do with samplers, turntables etc.?

You can turn the backlight on and off by pressing on the contrast knob. Perhaps this is why it was working fpr you one day and not the next.

Some humidity is good for electronics as it helps prevent static discharge. Too much humidity can cause corrosion.
