MPC 60 Emu SP 1200 Song mode sync

How do you sync these 2 machines in song mode?

Here is a picture of what we have going on.

I suspect you aren't getting many replies because you're not being very clear as to what you are trying to achieve.

If you just want to sync the SP to the MPC (song mode or not), you will need to:

1) MIDI OUT MPC -----> MIDI IN SP1200

2) Enable MIDI clock to be sent out of the MPC (not sure about the 60, the 3000 does this automatically)

3) Set SP1200 to sync MIDI (Sync button 2, IIRC)

i get frustrated myself with midi chains... i feel your pain. Have you tried just using the sp1200 sequencer tho? It's such straightforward and no-nonsense bliss. my mpc60 has been sitting on the bench for awhile now lol
