Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

Hey!

I tried searching for this on the forum and I didn't find anything. So it's probably a stupid question but I need to find something to store my sequenses and beats. I have the MPC 3000. I have floppy disks, but there's no way I'm gonna work like that.

Thanks for your help :-)

I don't believe you, there are 240 pages of threads in this forum. Read up for more details and put in some research, you owe it to yourself if you've bought an 18 year old sampler.

Here are you options in a nutshell, 5+6 are most practical.

1. Floppies
2. Internal SCSI Zip drive
3. External SCSI Zip drive
4. External SCSI hard drive
5. External CF Card Reader
6. Internal CF Card Reader
7. HxC floppy emulator

it's also worth noting that these are the most expensive and/or elusive

3.10 doesn't. It formats the cf in 30mb Partitions from A-Z. My hand barley touches the scroll wheel for anything. - and + Buttons all the way. Hold your finger down on it and zooooom!

To its defense, maybe that's why it's a little bit confusing for a noob who just wants a simple answer to a simple question. :)

That's why I gave the answer, but not all the details.

Put in the effort to READ the pages in this forum and you'll gain 10 years of user knowledge and experience.

Haha.

I want someone to tell me what exact model CF reader is best for an internal CF reader in an MPC60, and in an MPC3000.

And I want to know where to buy it at the moment, and what sort of price to pay.

I am sure this info is in the forums already, but I want a quick and easy answer, without sifting through 1000s of posts that are not necessarily exactly what I want, or current info.

Someone please spoon feed me!

With 3.50 you can format the whole HD/CF/ZIP in 32Mb partions, make sense if you got 32Mb Ram installed! Thank you Rohan!
