Hi,
Is it somehow possbile to record a live performance midi wise?
I mean when i hit play and set the tracks on and off as i want in my comosition, can i record this performance into a new sequence which I can work with then?

This would save so much time of copying and pasting etc.

The next thing is, when i set the volume of a track to lets say 75 % in one sequence and in another one the track with the same number is at 100%. When i put both of them after another in song mode and convert the song into a new sequence, the volume of the concerning track is either always 75 % or 100%, is there a way to recalculate the notes automatically?
It is bad that the Song is just fine in songmode but when i convert it, it doesnt work anymore if the tracks arent setup the right way( same midi channel on same track in every sequence, same volume of the same track in every sequence).

If you got some good some good workflows to tell, please do it = )

Flo, I don't think there is a way to get around this within the mpc. You could do the mutes etc when dropping the beat into your daw, or do the edits in your daw. I tend not to use velocity on tracks to mix things, as it doesn't work well when converting song to sequence. You could however copy tracks that have different velocity settings to a different track in the sequence that isn't being used by any other sequence, then delete the original track.

I never liked song to sequence, always used song mode because of the conversion complications.

What you want is in the jj os for the 1000 and 2500.
