Soundtech, the hotswap function is not decided by the scsi board, this only depends on what card reader you have. The cloned scsi boards appear to be exact copies of the originals, which do allow hot swapping (given you have a card reader which allows this). I am assuming you are talking about hot swapping cf cards in and out of a cf reader?
