Track midi out?

Ok, so just got the mpc60. And i have looked through the manual, and cant find anything on how to select a midi output on a track. I want to play an external instrument with my keyboard and record the notes within the mpc.
Feels like it should be easy, but i just cant find the option

Yes, but how to select the midi output on the mpc?

Edit: I have 3.10 - and all i can
find is the option to change from drum track to midi track

Yet another "Hit & Run" question

Hey fellas
im new to the 60II. want to know if its wise to invest in a sampler to chop, edit, and perhaps make programs on and then some how get them in the 60... at the moment im finding it difficult to use the 60. im use to 2kxl and 2k5. both of which i use more....i want to learn the 60...

couldnt i edit a sample on an external sampler say a s950 or (ive seen real cheap s2000's) send the audio out of the sampler to the record in on the 60? sampling it that way?
then when does midi come into it? would i trigger sounds in the sampler with the 60 via midi connection?
