Whats up people? Thank you to take the time to read my question, so here it goes:

It's been a veryyy long time since I'm trying to sync my MPC 3000 with the Motif ES7. I want the MPC to work as the master and the Motif as the slave. I only got 2 midi cables... I think it's possible to make it work without a mixer, but if I really need one, I'll buy.

Anyway, I would just want to know the exact details of how I should setup my two beasts to work together!

Thanks

Jozzy

Take a MIDI cable. Connect one end to a MIDI out on the MPC and the other end to MIDI in on the MOTIF.
On the "sync" page of the MPC60 set it to send MIDI clock out the port you've connected the cable to.
On the Motif set it to receive MIDI clock.
That's it, no mixer required. Now when you press play/stop on the MPC your Motif will follow.

On the main page of the MPC 3000 I put the Channel to 1. Type: MIDI. Then I go to the Tempo/Sync button... Sync in: Mode: Midi Clock. Midi input: 1. Sync Out: Midi clock: OUT A. Midi time code: OFF.

In the motif I go to Utility, SYNC. MIDI Sync: MIDI. Clockout: on. SeqCtrl: in/out.

At this point I don't know what I am doing wrong and I dont find any toturial about it on youtube for the 3000. :hmmm:
