MPC 3000 wont work

I have a 3000 that I haven't used in a while and just went to turn it on and the backlight doesn't work and the screen has lines dark and light across the screen... I have no idea why because when I bought it I had the screen replaced and I used it only a couple of times before I got to busy to use it and just kept it sitting in a box so it wouldn't get messed up, yet now it is messed up... Buttons don't light up either... Any idea of what it could be?

Sounds like a power supply issue or at least the point where I would start troubleshooting.

You can inspect the fuses inside to see if any are broken. Besides that, you would need to use a multimeter to check that the voltages are correct.
